What I use
A somewhat comprehensive list of the tools, apps, and hardware I use to build frontend products and teach.
Hardware
- MacBook Pro2.4 GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, 16GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3, and Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655. My main machine for frontend development and teaching.
- Medion 27" MonitorExtra room for code, documentation, and browser previews.
- TMKB T63My compact mechanical keyboard for long coding sessions.
- Apple Magic MouseA clean, compact mouse that fits naturally into the Mac setup.
Coding
- VS CodeMy primary editor for Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and Markdown. Fast, focused, and shaped around a small set of extensions and shortcuts.
- CursorIncreasingly using this for AI-assisted workflows and quick prototyping.
- Theme: Tokyo Night / GitHub DarkI alternate depending on my mood, but usually prefer deep, low-contrast dark themes.
- Font: Geist MonoClean, geometric, and perfectly legible for long coding sessions.
Terminal & CLI
- Warp / iTerm2Warp for the modern AI features, iTerm2 as the reliable fallback.
- Oh My ZshWith the standard powerlevel10k theme.
- HomebrewMac package management.
Design & Productivity
- FigmaWhere all my projects start before touching code.
- RaycastReplaced Spotlight years ago. Window management, clipboard history, everything.
